
Zerti
Our
Lady’s church
is an architectural monument, standing in the center of Zerti, dating back to
XIX century. It is a three-nave basilica (16,7m x 9,5m), built of brick and
fragmented sandstone. There are arched entrances to the south and west. The west
door is closed up. On the axis of the semicircular apse there is a wide arched
window under which there is a door. Which must have been made later…

Next
to the apse
there is a two-storied rectangular stone-carving shop and a deacon’s room.
There are five more large arched windows. Two of them are in the south
and north walls and one is in the upper portion of the west wall. On the
east facade above the window a cross is built in ….

George’s church
is an architectural monument, standing southwest of the village of Zerti, on the
cemetery, built in 1839. It is a single-nave church (11,0m x 7,0m), made of
cobblestone, brick and shirimi stone are also used.
