“Mtadekeuli” st. George’s church is an architectural monument, standing in the village of Tsiteltskaro on the left bank of the river Tedzami in the center of the old settlement “Mtadekeuli”, on the hill, dating back to IX century. It is a single-nave church (4,9x7, 5) built of large fragments of stones….

John the Babtizer church is an architectural monument, standing north of the village of Tsiteltskaro, dating back to XI century. It is a single-nave church (7,1 x10, 6) built of sand stone and brown shirimi stone. The facades are plastered with carved stones. The entrance is in the west portron of the south wall. Under the window at the wall there is a feast stone. The top of the window, which has got narrow folds, is decorated facade there is a cross. On the door a relief-decorated arch is made. To the left there is a sculpture of an animal with a human head, and to the right there is a model of a domed church….

Chiata
church
is an architectural monument, standing in the outskirts of the village of
Tsiteltskaro, to the north-east of he old settlement “Chiata,” dating back
to IX century. It is a single-nave church (6,4x4, 5), covered with a
barrel-shaped vault, built of cobblestone. A fragment of a stone iconostasis and
traces of murial have survived….
