
Tkviavi
St. Mary’s church is an architectural monument, standing in the village of Tkviavi, dating back to early advanced feudal epoch. It is a single-nave church. (10,3 x 6,5), built of cobblestone, squares of wine colored carved stones are also used. Some parts of the east wall are bricked up. The church has got two arched entrances. In the arch of the south wall a “timpani” stone is built in. On the stones of the east and south facades big and small crosses appear….

St. George’s church is an architectural monument, standing in the outskirts north-east of the village of Tkviavi, dating back to XVII-XVIII centuries. It is a single-nave church (5,83 x 4,8), built of cobblestone. The corners, the sides of the windows and the two stepped cornice is made of brick. The arched entrance is in the west portron of the south wall. The vault is barrel shaped. The gable roof is tiled….

“Kharis
Gora”
a burial mound complex is an archaeological monument. It is situated on the
Right Bank of the river Patara Liakhvi, dating back to early Bronze Age 2500
B.C. The mounds are covered with stones; they are of different sizes. The diameter
of the first mound is 20 m. The second is a bit smaller and the diameter of the
third one is 12m. Different styles of burring have been discovered. Clay
utensils, metal things, silver coins, jewelry etc. have been discovered in the
mounds (the findings are kept in Gori historic-ethnographic museum)….
