the Baptist Church
(Koshkebi Church) is a specimen of monumental architectural art, standing in the
southern outskirts of the village, on the left bank of the river Tana. It was
built in 1861-1883. It is a single nave church (7.9X5.8) built of fragmented
stones. The entrance is to the south. There are niches on each side of the
window, on the semicircular apse. There is a satrapezo stone under the window. There are murals on the walls. The
Georgian and Greek inscription on the icons are damaged……

hill, dating back to late Feudal Epoch. It is a single-nave church (7,9m x
5,8m), built of fragmented stones, the corners are made of shirimi stone, the
entrance is in the western portion of the southern wall…..

St.
George’s Church
is an architectural church, standing in the south of Bobnevi, on the slope of a
mountain, dating back to late Feudal Epoch. It is a single-nave church (5,25m x
3,40m) built of cobblestone, shirimi stone is also used. The entrance is to the
south. There are three little niches in the northern wall of the apse. The
churchyard is surrounded by a cobble stone wall, which is badly damaged…..
The
building is in bad condition!
