There
is an old settlement and a church
south of the village of Bnavisi in the forest, at one km of the place called
Valiaantubani near Kiota, dating back to late feudal epoch. Ruins of some
dwellings still can be seen on the slope, built of cobblestone and fragmented
stone. There are a lot of fragments utensils and large pitchers made of burnt
clay. It is a single-nave church (9,0m x 4,3m), built of sandstone. There is an
entrance in east west and north wall, arched outside and square inside. There is
a arched niche on either side of the semicircular arched window….
The
building is badly damaged!
